Eat: Fresh and Easy Spicy Jalepeno Hummus

I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying Fresh and Easy’s Spicy Jalepeno Hummus lately (though I’m going to try since otherwise there’s no point to this post). It’s delicious. It’s hella delicious.

I’ve been trying to eat better, which — let’s face it — kind of sucks. I love vegetables, but they can get boring pretty quickly. Enter the hummus. It’s creamy. It’s spicy. It’s 35 calories per tablespoon. Pair it with half of a whole wheat pita or a handful of carrot sticks, and you’ve got a snack that’s less than 100 calories (and more satisfying than eating two Oreo cookies or four tortilla chips).

The hummus is $1.99. It’s a good deal, and a mighty fine, and healthy, dipping choice. (Fresh and Easy, if you’re reading this, feel free to send free samples my way any time.)

    Oh my word, we really are food twins! I LOVE that hummus too! I buy it almost weekly and I also buy their Good Life whole wheat pitas or dip baby carrots in it. Another thing that’s good is a sweet red or orange bell pepper sliced and dipped in hummus. Yum. The red pepper one is also good as is Trader Joe’s spicy hummus. Man, now I’m hungry!
